GARDEN REnovation

The relationship between the existing hard- and soft-scape elements and new garden plantings is key to a successful garden renovation.

Our three-step approach is a practical, flexible, and more affordable way to complete personalized distinctive garden renovations.

A complimentary phone call, fee-based site visit and written design brief and images of the plants envisioned for your project will allow you and us to move ahead with confidence. Our weekly visits to favorite garden nurseries allow us to select the best plants available to achieve your goals.

1 phone Consultation

We offer a complimentary 30-minute phone-based consultation to discuss your needs. Using photos you provide in advance or images from Google Maps we have a high-level discussion of your priorities which can include:

  • what you like about your current garden,

  • your preliminary ideas and preferences,

  • challenges and opportunities,

  • other exterior work to be done and the associated timeline,

  • establish fit between your needs and our services.

2 site assessment And planning

Once you’ve scheduled your fee-based site visit, we provide you with our Garden Style Guide so you start thinking about your preferred garden style, functional needs, color palette, and specific elements or plants you want in your garden.

On-site we will use your information and offer creative ideas and professional advice on achieving your goals.

We will take pictures, discuss care for plants that will remain and address those that may not, measure your space, inventory existing plants and hardscape elements, and evaluate site conditions such as light and wind exposure.

We will provide an estimate and a timeline to complete your proposal.

3 proposal and implementation

Your “conceptual design” proposal fee includes:

  • description of your design aesthetic and project plan for each area of the garden,

  • images of plants we envision for your project (trees, shrubs, perennials, ground covers),

  • plant sourcing, selection, and delivery for your design,

  • time and materials list (plants, bulk supplies such as mulch or soil, number of days to complete),

  • budget and timeline for project implementation.
